How the Finder works

Platform, co-op, and price are strict filters. They come from each game’s Steam page (platforms, co-op categories, Steam Deck rating), Google Play listing (price, ads, in-app purchases), and App Store listing (price). We last checked every game on 2026-11-03.

Style and experience rank the games that pass. Styles follow how we categorize games on TowerWard. “New to tower defense” favors games we tag beginner-friendly; “Make it hard” favors games we tag hard. Among equal matches, games we’ve written more about come first, so you can read up before you buy.

Co-op is only known for the Steam versions. Mobile store listings don’t state it, so the co-op filters show PC games.

Common questions

Where does the Finder get platform and price information?

From each game’s Steam, Google Play, and App Store listing, checked on 2026-11-03. Prices change with sales, so we only record whether a download is free or paid.

What does “Paid, no ads or IAP” mean?

A paid game whose store listing shows no ads and no in-app purchases. On Android that’s Google Play’s “Contains ads” and “In-app purchases” labels; on Steam it’s the In-App Purchases category. The App Store doesn’t show ads, so iPhone-only matches can’t be confirmed.

Can I share my results?

Yes. Your choices are saved in the page address, so “Copy link to these results” gives a link that opens the same filters.
